It was a wonderful weekend, with so many alternative therapies, wonderful stalls, and live music, workshops and plenty of visitors.
The next one will be October 27th and 28th 2012.

Rye Mind Body Spirit Fayre 2012
Rye Mind Body Spirit Fayre, March 17th and 18th 2012
The Rye Mind Body Spirit Fayre will take place on the weekend of March 17th and 18th, from 11 am to 5 pm, at Rye Community Centre, Conduit Hill, Rye, East Sussex TN31 7LE.
It will be a coming together of all kinds of holistic and spiritual practitioners from the South East of England and further afield. There will be wonderful workshops all weekend, (see below) for which there will be a small charge by each teacher. No prior booking is necessary and entrance to the fayre is free.
We have practitioners of all kinds of alternative therapies and disciplines and we have bookings from the following: Reiki healers, Aura photographer, cranial sacral therapist, reflexologists, Bowen therapist, Magnotherapist, Indian head masseuse, massage therapist, music therapist, aromatherapist, health and fitness specialist, life coach, EFT practitioner, Zimbate practitioner, Spiritual/chakra pendant maker/jeweller, healing crystal and gemstone jeweller, healing and spiritual counsellor, Angel card reader, Angel healing taster sessions, visionary and healing artists, sellers of aloe vera products, natural skin care products, natural salts and scrubs, a child play therapist and counsellor, tarot reader, fused glass chakra pendants and hearts, equine therapist, yoga teacher, sellers of beautiful and new age gifts, arts and crafts, a Heal Your Life practitioner, and even a nurturing baby sleep consultant and Happiest Baby parent educator (Soothing techniqe for colic/fussy newborns). All kinds of amazing people! We have fantastic workshops, see below for times.
Regarding practitioners, and stall holders we are now FULL for both days.
Info for stall holders:
The hall is a lovely space full of light and warmth and we provide tables, 6 ft by 2 ft, if you require them, and chairs, or you may bring your own tables, massage couch, reflexology chair, shelves or stands if you prefer. Please try to remain within the six foot length for your stall area. Please bring with you anything you need to showcase your work or therapy to best effect, ie lighting etc, as there are power outlets all around the edge of the hall. The stage will also be used for stalls. We have made a floor plan for all stallholders and your name will be on your table when you arrive. We have taken any specifications you have requested into account as far as possible. Some of the more private and quiet healing therapies have been placed in a special quiet room, as has tarot reading in a separate quiet room. All these separate rooms are going to be very clearly signposted. Workshops are taking place upstairs, in the large dance hall, and also clearly signposted.
You may offer taster sessions for your particular therapy and give Indian head massage or reflexology etc. This is a chance to promote your work and bring leaflets, cards etc. When offering taster sessions, the price is up to you. It is an informal event. All bookings taken must be done through you. The entrance is free and there is no receptionist. Charging is up to your own discretion. We will be on hand all day to guide people in your direction and provide information.
The Fair starts at 11am and finishes at 5pm. Stallholders/therapists can arrive from 9 am to set up. There is parking outside for unloading and some space for all day parking but if there is no more room, unload first and you can park in the Grove down the road or in Love Lane by Rye College. The Rye Community Centre is on Conduit Hill, a cobbled street, connecting Cinque Ports street and the High Street and the post code is TN31 7LE. You can easily find this on Google maps if you type the postcode in.

12.15- 1.10 CLOWN WORKSHOP with Jane Edington -A playful exploration of your inner-clown through movement, music and imagination, and experiment with the red nose- the smallest mask in the world! (Suitable for all ages)
1.15- 2.10 Qi Gong workshop with Adam Gibb.
A FREE introduction workshop in the ancient Chinese healing art of Wild Goose Qi Gong.
Adam will be teaching Shen Gong (kidney nourishing method) and will give a demonstration of the 1st 64 form which you can learn at his class at Rye sports centre. For more information go to www.wildgooseqigong.eu
2.15-3.10 DANCE WORKSHOP with Jo Frater- you don’t have to be good at dancing to join this workshop just come to enjoy it!
3.15- 4.10 STORYTELLING with Lesley Stone- An opportunity to come and discover your inner storyteller…prepare for some improvised games
and a chance to tell a story. (Suitable for all ages)
4.15- 4.45 MUSIC & MOVEMENT with Madeleine Cordes- specifically designed for children from 0- 8 years old accompanied by their parents/carers. £3

11.00- 11.55 Yoga with Margot – a gentle, fun hour of postures balances and stretches to make you feel great! All ages welcome – why not bring your spouse, teenagers, grandparents or just come alone and enjoy. £4 per person.

11.30 am. Folk and world music with Gary and Madeleine Cordes. (See below for details about this duo.)
12 noon. Wall of Sound Ensemble. ‘The Wall of Sound is a new ensemble and an ensemble that includes not only Sandra’s Scott singing students from both Rye and environs but also her singing students from her London studio.The Wall of Sound Ensemble has also now been joined by local singers outside of Sandra’s singing teaching practice and this has proved so successful that she is pleased to welcome more enthusiastic singers to join us in the merry band!
2pm-2.45 Reuben’s Train (duo)
3pm. Singer-songwriters, Eleanor Mason and Giorgia Moran as GEMM will perform their beautiful blend of Indie folk and pop.

Gary and his wife Madeleine have performed together for 30 years! They recently returned from living in the Caribbean for three years and bring their experiences of island life into their performances.
Known for his sunny personality and rich, powerful voice, Gary has become well known as a singer/actor in his local community in East Kent. Gary enjoys singing across a wide range of genres from opera to folk songs and world music.
Professional engagements include an event celebrating the sea with the BBC in Deal and the duo also created a special music programme commemorating the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar for a local restaurant.
Madeleine leads community and youth choirs and is a qualified teacher of music and movement for children.
Gary and Madeleine are participating in the fayre this weekend to support The Music Well based in Rye which supports well being and health through its music therapy, drum circles and singing group activities.

Workshops, ie yoga, qi gong and music therapy etc can be held in a large mirrored dance hall upstairs. This is £10 per hour. You are then able to charge your clients who attend the workshops your going rate.
If you would like to book the upstairs dance hall for one hour workshops, (yoga, pilates, music etc,) please enquire and we will discuss details and times and put these on the flyers, posters and programmes.
Also we are taking bookings for acoustic musicians, singer/songwriters etc. to hold small slots/concerts on the stage at £10 per hour.
We have a private warm therapy room for Reki, healing, massage, etc. This can be booked at a daily rate of £20 per day, the same rate as for the stalls in the main hall. Obviously you can then charge your clients your going rate.
There will be a lovely cafe selling vegetarian and vegan food and drinks at the Fayre.
The cost of a stall for each day, Saturday or Sunday is £20 per day, 11 am til 5 pm. You may book both days if you would like. If you would like to book both Sat and Sun, the cost will be £35 for the two days. The details of where to send the payments will be on the booking form.
For workshops the cost of one hour’s class will be £10. The workshops will be charged to the teacher at £10 per hour and you as a teacher can charge your own rate to people who attend your class. The classes/workshops will be held in the lovely large mirrored dance hall upstairs.
